Oreos and Oral Hygiene

Oral hygiene. It’s a topic most people love to discuss.

Not really, but when you have kids, it’s a topic you have to bring up at least two times a day.

This is followed with a standoff with your offspring until someone relents. The kid either brushes their teeth or the parent holds the child down with one hand and brushes their kids’ teeth with the other all while said child screams at the top of their lungs. What? That doesn’t happen to you?

Well, as I stood there with my son, extolling the importance of brushing his teeth everyday and not eating junk food so they didn’t turn yellow and fall out, he leaned over, glanced at my pearly whites and noted, “Dad, your teeth are a little yellow.”

“Ohhh, it must have been that whole bag of Oreos you ate a long time ago.”

Kids can be a bit too observant at times.
