That was the end of our first day back in Prague. Back to the beer bath. During the hour, if the hot tub where the beer flowed like wine was too much, you could hit the hay. Literally. A wooden bed full of hay sat next to the beer sauna.

This whole adventure started back when Nadine and I had this crazy idea to live abroad with our two kids in the Cayman Islands.

Senegal was full of captivating surprises with the active Senegalese people, delicious fresh fruit, and a powerful history.

We dropped off our bags, literally next to the gondola and slopes. Nadine eagerly walked down the fresh powder to buy lift tickets for all the family.

I walked back the 50 yards from the parked red sedan back to the school entrance with a fresh yellow fever vaccine. And in the end, this simple story perfectly encapsulates life in Egypt.

A couple of weeks ago we engaged in a bit more in depth discussion about life and his family. He revealed that his brother actually lives in Texas. “Hey I am from Texas.”

The Mickelson Trail is a former railroad track converted to a trail system. And it also served as a quick University of Tulsa reunion.

Families replaced college friends. Cars substituted bicycles. A van displaced a trailer and carried all the water. We were back in Belgium.
